About me, Dr. Stephens

I applaud your resilience and determination in navigating the path to finding a counselor who resonates with your unique needs.

I was inspired to enter the field of mental health because of my cousin and the struggles he has experienced as an individual on the Autism Spectrum. My desire to advocate for him and for others instilled a passion for understanding human development and mental health that led me to become a counselor.

I do my best to meet people where they are and treat everyone with kindness and respect. I care deeply about helping people feel seen, heard, and supported, no matter their background or life experiences.

I deeply understand the emotional impact of a cancer diagnosis—whether you're navigating treatment, supporting a loved one, or grieving. I provide a compassionate, trauma-informed space where cancer patients and families can process fear, grief, resilience, and hope. Together, we work on building coping strategies, finding emotional support, and reconnecting with your sense of self.

Support for Neurodiverse Children

Fueled by personal experience and specialist training, I support children and adolescents with ASD or ADHD through Animal-Assisted Play Therapy, Sandtray, and DBT. In a nurturing, developmentally appropriate environment, I help young people build social skills, emotional regulation, self-esteem, and behavioral confidence.

Healing from Complex Trauma, Anxiety & Depression

My work is rooted in trauma-informed care—whether you’re recovering from PTSD, childhood wounds, domestic trauma, or ongoing anxiety and depression. Through approaches like DBT, Sandtray, and Play Therapy, I help you process pain, build resilience, and craft a new narrative of healing.
